Νέο Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο εξέλεξε η Γενική Συνέλευση του Συνδέσμου Ελλήνων Μεσιτών Ασφαλίσεων (ΣΕΜΑ), στο πλαίσιο των προγραμματισμένων για προχθές αρχαιρεσιών.
Για τη νέα διοίκηση του ΣΕΜΑ, που θα έχει διετή θητεία, εξελέγησαν οι: Γεώργιος Καραβίας, Ευγενία Καφφετζή, Βασιλική Δράκου, Μωρίς Καπουάνο, Δημήτριος Τσεσμετσόγλου, Παναγιώτης Λυσσαίος, Κωνσταντίνος Αλφιέρης, Γεώργιος Κούμπας, Γεώργιος Νικολάκος.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης που ακολούθησε ο πρόεδρος του ΣΕΜΑ, κ. Γιώργος Καραβίας, αναφέρθηκε στο πως οι Μεσίτες Ασφαλίσεων αντιμετωπίζουν το δύσκολο οικονομικό περιβάλλον και πώς μπορούν να συμβάλλουν για τον περιορισμό των συνεπειών της κρίσης.
Ο κ. Καραβίας αναφέρθηκε επίσης στη στενή συνεργασία μεταξύ της Τράπεζας της Ελλάδος και του ΣΕΜΑ, ενώ έδωσε το στίγμα για την επόμενη μέρα της αγοράς επισημαίνοντας ότι θα συνεχίσει να πρωταγωνιστεί στο επιχειρείν, αλλά και στην προσπάθεια που καταβάλλεται από όλους τους κλάδους της οικονομίας για την έξοδο της χώρας από την ύφεση.
Ενδιαφέροντα μηνύματα στην ασφαλιστική αγορά μετέφερε και ο κ. Μιλτιάδης Νεκτάριος, καθηγητής Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιά, ο οποίος επισήμανε ότι, παρά τη δοκιμασία που περνά η ελληνική οικονομία, τόσο οι ασφαλιστικές εταιρείες, όσο και οι Μεσίτες Ασφαλίσεων, θα συνεχίσουν να δρουν δυναμικά σε μια αγορά από την οποία δεν θα λείψουν οι ευκαιρίες, θα είναι όμως μικρότερη, αλλά και με λιγότερους παίκτες.
O αντιπρόεδρος του ΣΕΜΑ, Γιώργος Κούμπας, χαρακτήρισε ως καλές τις προθέσεις των πολιτικών για να ξεπεραστεί η κρίση, υπογράμμισε όμως ότι δεν υπάρχει επαρκής χρόνος για την υλοποίηση όσων έχουν εξαγγελθεί. Από την πλευρά της, η γενική γραμματέας του ΣΕΜΑ, Βασιλική Δράκου, με την τοποθέτησή της, επέμεινε στη έννοια της συλλογικότητας και στην ανάγκη που υπάρχει σήμερα στην αγορά για συνέργειες.
Τέλος, στο πλαίσιο της εκδήλωσης του ΣΕΜΑ, χαιρετισμούς απηύθυναν, εκ μέρους του κ. Χαράλαμπου Βογιατζή, Διευθυντή της Διεύθυνσης Εποπτείας Ασφαλιστικής Αγοράς της Τραπέζης της Ελλάδος, η κα Μαρία Κρητικού, καθώς και οι κ.κ. Πάνος Δημητρίου υπεύθυνος της Επιτροπής Διαμεσολάβησης της Ε.Α.Ε.Ε. και ο Δημήτρης Γαβαλάκης Πρόεδρος της Ενωσης Ασφαλιστικών Διαμεσολαβούντων Ελλάδος.

In the field of acquisitions, is being focused NBGI Private Equity, the investment arm of the group of the National Bank, and private equity market is recovering from a long period of inactivity.
"The economic and financial difficulties of Greece did not affect the group's appetite for investment," said Mark Owen, founder of NBGI Private Equity, which is headquartered in London, in an interview with Dow Jones Newswires.
Please note that National has reduced its borrowing from the European Central Bank in recent months, while the Tier 1 ratio stands at 11.8%, higher than the 7% required by Basel III.
Owen said the company has "seen" in recent months more investment opportunities in Britain than in any other period in the last three years.
"There is definitely a new wave assets entering the market, the owners feel that now is the right time," said Owen.
The NBGI invests in a variety of industries and companies, including the Pasta King, of Ochre House and shops Jamies and Henry J Beans. Moreover, in southeastern Europe, the investments of NBGI include the college of AKTO, and Mermeren, and the Turkish Sante, which was being taken over in January.

The environmental sensitivity prizes "Oikopolis 2007" of the organization Ecocity awarded yesterday to persons, organizations, media and companies who have shown remarkable action on environmental issues. The Greening Program of the SKAI TV and the way to handle environmental issues and more specifically the cleaning campaign of Kifissos by a reporter of the television and radio 100.3 SKAI, George Keramitzoglou, gave yesterday to the family of SKAI two of the five environmental sensitivity awards "Oikopolis 2007" in the category of Econews. It was there the president of SKAI, Mr. John Alafouzos, and Mr. George Keramitzoglou to receive their awards from bronze, which was first awarded to a television station. The awards were being painted from a young graduated in Fine Arts, artist Mrs. Maria Christoforatou. Mrs. Niki Goulandris was honorary chairman of this year's "Oikopolis" awards established by the 2005 Ecocity Environmental Agency to identify and reward the work with environmental sensitivity. The award was presented yesterday at the Center for Environmental Research and Education "Gaia" of Goulandris Museum. Chairman of the committee was the chairman of the Environment Committee of the Parliament Mr. Athanasios Katsigiannis. Among others awarded:
- The magazines "Ecotech", "Cretan Panorama" and the webpage www.oikologos.gr from the county of Patras.
- For the roof of the station "Eirini" with bioclimatic foliage the Subway of Athens and Metro for its contribution to the improvement of the urban environment.
- The municipalities of Egaleo, Eleusinas and Ptolemaidas in the category of the awards of the Local Government to promote renewable energy, solid waste management and storage of heat in district heating, respectively.
- The companies Toyota Hellas, Alpha Bank, Motor Oil, Elinoil, Vodafone. Special Award to the professor Nikolas Margaris and special praise to the model ecological oil kernel factory of MESSINIAKI SA.
